  This book is the second book of the Ascendance series. Following Sage, now known as Jaron, has ascended to the throne as King of Carthya. However, an assassination attempt happened, and He decided to run away and take back the role of sage again. Although twists come along the way, he manages to get back into his groove. This book is fantastic, it's good for fantasy lovers and young adults. I give this book 5 stars
